There are several major differences in the construction methods used on the Craftsman Series products and the construction methods used on the Presidential, Capitol, American and Island Series.

General Construction of Inset Cabinetry:

a. Front frames.
i. Beading. A 5/16" wide bead will “picture frame” all door, drawer front and open shelf areas. This “bead” is an integral part of the front frame (not tacked on).
ii. Joints. A normal mortise and tenon joint is used but the rails and stiles are “clipped” at a 45˚ angle to allow the bead to turn the inside corners.

b. Door profile. The only profile available is the Shaker edge. No options are available to change the edge profile.

c. Hinges. A new Blum 6-way adjustable cup hinge is standard on all Craftsman Series products. In order to work on an inset style, this new hinge mounts to the back side of the front frame and extends approximately 3-1/2" deep into the cabinet. This hinge also protrudes approximately 1-1/2" into the frame opening. Exposed knuckle hinges (as well as knife hinges) are not available on the Craftsman Series product line.

d. Edge reveal. There will be a 1/8" gap between the inside edge of the front frame and the outer edge of a door or drawer front.

e. Drawer fronts. Only “slab” style drawer fronts are available. No options are available to change to a 5-piece drawer front.

f. Drawer guides. In order to have more flexibility in adjustment, the Blumotion full extension, undermount drawer guide is standard on ALL base and vanity drawers in the Craftsman Series.

*Note: Not all product selections shown. All Haas products are designed for long life and performance. However, slight color changes may occur over time from contact with smoke, ultraviolet light and contaminating sources. Variations in colors and grain are to be expected in each cabinet as they reflect the natural beauty of hardwood and should not be considered a material defect. Photos may be shown with specialty finishes and additional options. Hardware must be purchased separately. Not all computer monitors reflect colors in the same manner. Haas suggests visiting your local dealer to see a more precise color match of its product and for the most up-to-date product information. Your Haas dealer can also assist you in creating your own personal design. Click on Door Styles and Finishes for a sampling of the wide variety of finishes available. Product offered may change without notice. Duplication without explicit written permission is not authorized.
